I would so love to attend one of these conferences one day. I will probably have to wait until I start feeling better though, since I'm still recovering from a chronic illness... and I might need to save up, since finances are tight when you're a pk. But God willing I will come to one soon; it's on my bucket list. ;)

I haven't had an illness, persay, but I have a growth on my thyroid that really shut me down for a while. Exhaustion, constant headaches, susceptibility to viruses, mostly all monoluccleosis symptoms. I did a lot of tests, and my doctors wanted to do surgery; but hopefully I can get better that natural way instead! :) What about you?

I'll definitely be praying for you! My dr. diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome last fall after a year of tests and rabbit trails. Been dealing with a lot of things; headaches, nausea, insomnia, fatigue, panic attacks, depression, foggy brain, weak immune system.... and I've developed several allergies to different things like gluten, corn, egg yolks, lemon... and a few others.
I'm finally on the road to recovery now that they actually know what I'm dealing with... but it's a slow process and it could take up to a year and a half to get completely better.
So we'll see. God knows what He's doing and as painful as it's been, I'm learning so much and growing so much stronger in Him through it all. :)

I don't have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but most of your symptoms sound like mine! I'm not allowed to eat a lot of things, but I'm not allergic to them. :P Wow! I'm praying for you!!

God really has become so much more real for me during this time of trial. Isn't it so sad how it takes something like this to get me to take my relationship with God more seriously?? It's working, though! :) God certainly knows how to get my attention! Please keep me updated! :D

Wow! It is encouraging to me to know that we are dealing with some of the same stuff. And I know! It is sad that it takes such a difficulty to get our eyes focused where they ought to be. But once our focus is there, it's never-ending awe and glory... every day I realize another part of just how amazing my God is and even though the pain is heavy and I often just want to give up, I can't deny that the God I serve is real and ever awe-inspiring.
I would love to keep you updated and I would to hear from you on how you're doing along the way as well. I have a blog where I often talk about what the Lord is teaching me through all of this... perhaps we can stay in contact through there? The URL is aheartformyshepherd.1in1000.org
