Special Weekend Coverage: The Pure In Heart Conference

Morning, girls! Just a quick note to let you know I’m heading out the door to join 1,200 moms and tween daughters in Davenport, Iowa for tomorrow’s Revive Our Hearts’ Pure In Heart Conference. (In case you have no idea what I’m talking about, a “tween” is a 7-12 year old.)

This is the kind of thing I wish had existed when I was a tween. If I had grasped the beauty of God’s plan for purity, I would have been saved so much heartache resulting from buying into the world’s lies. This is the goal of this conference: to plant seeds of purity in the lives of the younger generation, before the world feeds them quite the opposite message!

Tune into the blog this weekend for LIVE reports from this conference. And please pray that this would be a life-changing weekend in the lives of each mom and daughter attending. Because, after all, the pure in heart will see God (Matthew 5:8), and nothing else could satisfy them more completely!

This confrence was great! I learned so much about how much your future depends on you for your future to find that special someone. My best friend, me, my mom, and my best friend's mom all went to the confrence. It was a weekend out for us girls. Thank you so much we really enjoyed this.

I grew up in a Christian household and always knew two things about 'purity'. You do not by any means have sex untill your married and you have it only with your husband after that. I think the whole concept of purity even in the Christian community is...I can't say ignored, but I don't think it is always given the ammount of attention it should be. I don't think tween and teen girls know how vunerable they are when the subject is not dwelled on enough. I wear a chastity ring and proudly! I think that it's importain for girls of all ages to know that it is just as importain to remain mentally pure as physically pure!! The first however is obviously much harder!! I think things like this confrence are great to do just that!! Teach girls how importain ture purity is!!
