HEY, GIRLS! We love hearing from you, but feel limited in the ways we can help. For one thing, we’re not trained counselors. The true woman in my life is my Mom.
She is a strong woman. Tries to see the good in everyone. Has the faith to move a mountain. She trust God with everything, everything. She has poured Jesus into me since i was young.

She has always enouraged us to be true to ourselves and to GOD.

I think The Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Jinger Duggar are true teens, because they show the world what teen girls should look like. Responsible, Caring, and helpful. Not irresponsible people whith no goal in life, but to sit around and watch TV and play video games all day. They have a motherly nature and are so good with all of their siblings. They know that children are a blessing from God and they are not afraid to tell the world. They love the Lord with all their heart and it shows in their lives! I believe they are true teens because they set the standard of how teens should be, and some still are. Because not all teens are lazy, but a lot are, and we need to show the world that this generation can make a difference!

My "True Teen" is a beautiful young lady! She has such a gentle heart and a loyalty that is incredible. As do many of our teens, she too can get caught in the lies of the enemy. Praying for her has been the weapon of choice - She is a "True Teen" because of the choice she makes to fight for truth and she continues to be a light to her peers!

hmmm...the true teen in my life would be my youth group caretaker Kimmy!
her liveliness and loudness are just one of the ways that you can see Christ in her. She gives up ALOT for those of us in her tribe because she really wants to see us grow in Christ. I really wanna be just like her!

    LOVE U KIMMY!!!!!

    true teen - Colleen!
on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 9:13 am
hey. =) so the true teen i have picked is a girl called Colleen. I think she is a true teen because she is one of the few friends I have that is actually sold out for Jesus, and living it out in her life. she really cares for people, and she really cares about God. she studies the Bible and really tries to apply it to her life! she talks to other people and encourages them in their faith, and she has definitely encouraged me in my faith. she is the kind of girl that when you're friends with her, after you hang out you're not thinking about how awesome she is, but about how awesome Jesus is. we've talked before about how sad it is some of our friends arent actually applying the Bible to our lives, and we've tried to encourage that - and not put up with stupid sin in our school (or condone it).

shes basically a really cool girl. im so glad im friends with her. shes a "true teen."

    When I don't understand a difficult situation I'm facing.
It is impossible to be godly without suffering.

My daughter, AnnaKate, is a true teen. It has been wonderful to watch her grow in her walk with the Lord and even seek to encourage me in my walk. She has started her own blog to encourage girls her age and is faithful to talk of the Lord with both Christian and non-Christian girls she meets. We've been through a tough year; loss of a job, loss of our church, transitioning from our home to a new town and church, reduced income limiting our activities... but she has been a real trooper through it all. I would love to be able to treat her to the True Woman Conference, and I know it would bless her heart!

My true teen is my 17 year old daughter Cassi. She had a knee injury that resulted in 2 surgeries this year and the loss of the entire basketball season her junior year. Her faith in the Lord and willingness to allow God to teach her through disappointment has been an example to even this mom. I am so thankful for her testimony of faith and trust. She is a godly example to her 14 year old sister and I would love to bring them both to the conference I am already registered for! Can't wait!!!

My cousin Sara. Wow if this is gonna help her I think she needs it BIG TIME! She is a great person and has went through a lot, with cutting, drinking, smoking and shes passed 1 of the three on to me. Cutting. Yes I do it and she doesn't anymore, but to me it became an addiction. I can't seem to find a way to stop, but God is here I know it. She is becoming a little more godly with my influinces, I know it doesn't make scence a saved person who still cuts, but what can I say maybe God wants me to learn something from it? But Sara shes gone through a lot and she deserves to go to this and I'm sure it will help us both. Pick me Please!

The blessing of a true teen in my life :)
on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 3:35 pm
God has given me an amazing friend named Rachel. She loves God with all her heart and finds her hope in The Scripture. When I became a christian this past summer, she was the first person I told, and we became great friends. She had been praying for a friend who was really sincerely interested in growing in faith and learning about God. She has encouraged me so much in the past several months since we have been friends. When I felt doubtful, she showed me scripture and prayed with me. She loaned me the book Lies Young Women Believe, told me about newer christian songs, gave me advice and scriptures to support when I was unsure about what to do about a friend who was some facing issues and looking to me. She is a great example to me in my walk with Christ and as I am trying to grow in faith. It is a blessing to be friends with such a true teen, and I am glad God has blessed me with a friend who is on fire for Him and living her life for Him.

My true teen is my twin sister. I love her very much. She is very smart and brave. She has a lot of compassion within her and she is always there for u when you need her. Sometimes she is just there to make you smile. she is always optomistic and glad. She never NEEDS anything, but will always give without complaining. thats why she is my true teen partner.

A true teen in my life would be my friend Hannah. I have always looked up to her because she is truly a girl after God's heart. She loves the Lord with all she has. Sometimes I have wondered why she hangs out with certain people and it's because she is showing them Jesus's love for them. She steps out of her comfort zone to follow what he wants. She wants to start an orphange in Africa when she gets older because she has found out that that is what the Lord wants for her. She is always the first person to help someone else out. I admire her in everything she does and she would love to go to this. It would be so great to get to know more about her through this.

This was so hard! At first I thought I didn't know any true teens. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the true teens in my life are my sisters. We are like a P&J sandwich; always together. (Jenny, Kay, and Annie) Of course I couldn't pick between the two of them.

Kay is the middlest and has an awesome heart for Lord. She stands up for what is right and isn't afraid to tell others where they are stumbling in their thinking or actions. She is always quick to ask for forgiveness and let us know when she has done something wrong.

Annie is the youngest of our trio. She is shy, but has a servant heart that is rare to find these days. She loves to work in the nursery or in sunday school. She loves to be working behind the scenes. She is our little peacemaker in our family; she tries to have everyone get along.

I would love for my sisters to have a chance to grown more in their knowledge of God and how to live for Him. Thanks and God Bless!!!

My friend Emily is my true teen. I have learned so much from her! She loves the Lord very much and wants to spread the Word to many other people. She worked at a camp for 6 weeks last summer and helped spread God's Word to many kids. She has been a great influence to me and has even talked me into spending next summer helping her at camp. I can't wait for the oppertunity!

My true teen in my life is my best friend, Lydia. She and i hold each other up when we start to fall and always hold tight to god. She has been a christian since before i can remember and me and her have gone to the same church as each toher for years. But, i am afarid lydia has become too comfortable with the world around her. She, i think, needs a big healthy dosing of God. So taking a trip like this would be wonderful. I cannot imagine how thankful she would be if she won this contest. It would really make her realize, and maybe even me too, that God really is all he is cracked up to be. And if i dont win, well i can tell her i tried right?

my true teen is one of my best friends, Anita. Over the course of the past year she has been learning so much from the Lord and she takes what she learns and shares it with others. She made the decision this summer to be herself while she counseled all summer at a Christian camp for inner city kids and she has grown in so many ways. She makes a stand for Christ in a generation that hides their true self because they are afraid of what people would think if they showed what God truly created them to be.

My "true teen" would definantly be my cousin, Kaila. I see God working in her life so much! she has done so many things that I wish I could do, like go on mission trips! I really admire her! She is always there for me when I need someone to talk to, and since she is 17, she knows everything that is coming up in my life and gives great advice. ahaha one day after church she txted me and told me that she loves me very much and want's to hang out sometime! she is very sweet! Her mom and dad are divorced, and her dad doesn't have a relationship with God at all, but that does not stop her from living her life for Jesus. :) I really love her and if I won the tickets, I would definantly take her with me! I love you kaila! :)

The true women in my life is Becca Macgilvary. She taught a Bible class about purity for girls at my homeschool group. She graduated and is going to Cedarville College. I have learned how to be loving and kind to friends and to be more humble through her. She is definitely the one who I would love to go to the conference with. We would both grow so much in our friendship and in the Lord together.

The true teen I'd have to choose is my newly amazing friend, Stephanie. She's an amazing listener and great friend despite the fact that we've barely met this year. She's been through so much but still
chooses to choose God above all. That's what makes her the true teen in my life. :)
