Hey Ladies! As you know, I am blogging live from the True Woman 2010 Conference in Indianapolis this weekend. It's already been a great time of intense prayer, fellowship with other Christian women and studying God's Word. But, we will get to all of that soon. First, I want to deliver the silly pics I promised.

Fellow LYWB.com blogger, Paula Hendricks and I took some time this afternoon for pure silliness. If you were here, we would have asked you to be silly with us. Since that's not possible, I want to pass pictures of our silliness on you. Enjoy! And be sure to let me know if you have ideas for future silly pics from Indiana.

HEY, GIRLS! We love hearing from you, but feel limited in the ways we can help. For one thing, we’re not trained counselors. If you’re seeking counsel, we encourage you to talk to your pastor or a godly woman in your life as they’ll know more details and can provide you with ongoing accountability and help. Also, the following comments do not necessarily reflect the views of Revive Our Hearts. We reserve the right to remove comments which might be unhelpful, unsuitable, or inappropriate.

My daughter is 15 yrs old and I have very little to no knowledge about, well just about anything anyone could ever mention, except one thing, "I Love God through Christ, my Savior!" I've been married for 29 yrs in October, I have 3 children and 1 grandchild. We have been members at our church here in Indianapolis over 20 years, with a strong foundation on God's written word, but as a congregation we lack practical use of God's principles in everyday life. Let me explain. My heart is soooooo heavy and torn. I cry to thee only Father; help me father to explain. Our church consist of approx 20 adults and 14 children, with my daughter age 15 being the only teen and has been the only one her age or near her age since she's been born. I have only seen 2 people who stayed in our home church and kept their profession without damaging their witness for Christ, and both individuals are between 40 and 58 yrs old. My children are 29, 23, and 15, and my husband and I have truly read, taught, prayed, and kept the word of God daily in our family's lives. The middle child professed that he has was called to preach the Gospel and he did begin to preach at the age of 14 for about a year or so, but our Sr Pastor (now deceased) would not allow him to play basketball at the Christian School and preach. He was continually challenged with giving up one or the other. He first chose to give up basketball, and did, but the following year in 11th grade he gave up preaching and took up basketball. He hasn't preached since and he has struggled with himself, employment, and his education ever since. He lives with a young lady he met while at Purdue and he went from getting nearly a full ride scholarship in engineering at Purdue to flunking out, to going back to school online, and is now attempting to re-enter Purdue's engineerimg program. He stays up late and sleeps late. My oldest son, alwa$s foccusses on me, myself, and I.
He has one child out of wedlock and is now living with a young lady older than him who has an eight yr old daughter. The young lady doesn't work, but has a home which my son is playing house in providing for the group of them. He attends church periodically and makes statements such as he has been taught to know the difference between right and wrong. So he considers himself a little old school and a little new school. He says he likes balance. When he said this in my presense I said that he can call it what he wants, but if God calls it sin it is sin and the only way to overcome is by taking heed to God's Word. And that is true balance! He was testing me. Neither sons are smokers, nor brawlers, nor drunkards, nor hang out in clubs. However, both are not considerig God's will for their lives. Please pray. Well, I've said all that to get to this point: My 15 year old daughter. She has attended Christian School since Pre-school. She is now in the 10th grade. She and the other children have practice lies and deceptiveness thorughout their teenage yrs. My daughter has received piano lessons at her school for about 8 yrs, voice lessons for 2 yrs, soccer for about 7 yrs, has been enrolled in leadership summer camps, and have been guided so closely. I have cried out to our church and I mean before the congregation for about 6 yrs or more to help me with my daughter because every child once graduated from High School has left serving in our church. Now, we do have some that have returned. One has been pregnant 3 times without being wed, and is currently expecting the 3rd child. The other got pregnant out of wedlock and then married the father of her child. Both are the adult sisters of our Pastor and one assist in carrying the info about our daugjter without contacting us, the parents. Our daughter recently began being the assist. Sunday Schol teacher for the children, and was done to aid in her taking ownershiip and a leadership roll, but to no avail, no disciping again. No one was discipling her in any type of way. The clammering of her parents voices were growing dim in her ears and were not as meaningful. The young ladies at her school and in the world were /are talking about boys boys boys and clothes clothes clothes, and self self self. Recently, August 27th in the evening my daughter and another Pastor's son, who is 2 yrs older than her sent horrable sexual content to each other. He was her first encounter with someone saying he likes her. She told him she regretted it and he got mad and said to my daugther, "I got you and I got you good!" You see, the church saw all three of our children as polite, mannerable, and children who were being taught about Christ in the hom. Anyway, he shared the content with a young adult in our church an she shared it with a nearly 60 yr old sister, who shared it with a her friend, who then shared it with our Pastor, and it was about 5 days before our Pastor shared it with my husband. It changed everything. We are now seeking a church home where we can get some good biblical counseling, and where our teen can learn and serve Christ along side other teens. Not a one person has called our daughter to talk to her or attempt to help her or pray with us. However, our Pastor did pray with us and was very upset as to how the members of our congregation handled the matter. We're not angry at them. Disappointed and hurt, yes....but no one was stepping up to disciple or guide our daughter before so it realy shouldn't be a shock. Oh well, I've been reading and praying and Satan is continually attacking me in telling me i'm a failure as a mother, but he is a liar. I have trained all three of my children and God's promises shall prevail and break forth in each one of their lives. I have to be at work in the morning and my daughter is due at school at 7:20 am, She's not registered to be at the Teen Session, but I'm bringing her tomorrow and she will just have to miss school to get some discipling other than her parents. Please pray, my daughter states she is physically a virgin, but I know that once the door is open to entertaining sex it's hard to shut that door and leave it shut until marriage. Please pray for her personal relationship with Christ to grow so strong that she can't be deceived, nor that she will have the heart to deceive others. Also please pray for our church family that we love, but umderstand that it is not to our good for Spiritual growth for our entire family. We hate that our presence is not there and upon finding a church our tithes wont be there either. It's like hurting/damaging the body to save a life. Well I know I was rambling on, but as I said my heart is heavy and i'm not sleeping the greatest. So please also pray for the time asleep is increased to seem much more than actual. I will pray for you and the conference tomorrow. God bless 9.24.2010

Oh my word, these are hilarious! I love to take silly pictures. :) I so wish I could have gone this year. My mom took me to the first conference for my 18th birthday. One of the best birthday presents I've ever had. I hope I get to go again sometime soon, but I'm not a teen anymore, so I guess I would have to go to the adult sessions now. Not sure how I feel about this whole ''not being a teen anymore''. lol ;0)

I was at the TWC: Teen track in Indy! (Yes, I confess to being one of the totally psycho teens in the audiance.) Anyways, I was in church reading the Bible and I found scripture about what Dannah had talked about concerning the horse bit. It was really cool to find out of nowhere! Its James 5:3. Check it out! Plus, thanks SO much Erin and Dannah what an example you guys are to me & my friends. We will now be reading the blogs. God bless!
