HEY, GIRLS! We love hearing from you, but feel limited in the ways we can help. For one thing, we’re not trained counselors. If you’re seeking counsel, we encourage you to talk to your pastor or a godly woman in your life as they’ll know more details and can provide you with ongoing accountability and help. Hi! I'm reading your book right now and it's really great and helping me out a lot. I'm so glad you made that book or I would still be in the state I was before I read it.

Well this is the book I've been waiting for! I'm attempting to start a book club. We are opening it up to the High school girls and our community youth group. I await your comments on how to do this. We are starting this on the prompting of the Holy Spirit and I'm way out of my comfort zone. Our start date is May 12 and will go for 6 weeks. Please pray for this group as girls sign up that God would bring all He wants to come to this class. Pray that I will be open to His leading.

We just finished the Tommy Nelson Song of Solomen for teens and they LOVED it and wanted to continue. Any ideas would be great!!

    Hello All,
I am a mom of a 14 year old wonderful daughter and we are starting the book with a small group of her friends. I was thinking we would get together and read the book as a group, Chapter by Chapter and talk about it as we read. I was thinking 5-7 girls at the most. I would take any advice that would help.
I had no idea there was a blog! The girls will love it!
I'm also hoping to read and do the study for Lies Women Believe this summer with a dear friend.
    Well, talked enough!
Thank you for giving to the Lord.

I was led to LYWB after a weekend YEC and have been very excited about starting a bible study with our church youth 7th grade - 12th grade. I have been setting aside 1 day a week since then to focus on how and what God wants me to say to our girls. I have also been put to great tests as our local school has been attacked, by gangs wicken, drugs, PDA, cutting and this just gets it started. Please pray that God will strengthen our girls and give them the courage to stand together in God's strength and guidance. Our Bible study is starting on May 11.

I have heard you talking about this book on several programs and feel the Lord is trying to speak to me about hosting a Bible study for my daughter and some of her friends who will be going off to college in the fall. Is this book for them or would you recommend something else since most of them are 18-19 already. Thanks so much for your ministry!

We're starting a study of the book tomorrow night, so I will let you know how it goes! Any tips or suggestions are welcome. I just plan to go through the book and discuss along the way. I'd like to get through the first three chapters the first night, but we'll see how much discussion we have. Thank you for writing it!

A great study for older teens!!!!

I don't know if this would help with the last comment made... but I am 20 years old and God has used this book so much in my life! Last week I was at a conference and I was really struggling with some differant things from my past. At one point I prayed and asked God to send someone to me to show me His love. Along came a dear older lady who told me God had impressed upon her that she needed to talk to me... then out of the blue she asked me to tell her my testimony (it was her that gave me the book!!!). I went on to explain the mighty work God has done in my life as I went from explaining the abuse that has dominated my life (13 years in fact) and how I was going to sell my body on the street, but instead how God through His love and grace redeemed me. For so many years I believed that I wasn't a sinner, because I would look at the crimes committed against me and say that those people were the sinners... it wasn't until I choose to forgive all the people who had so horrifically hurt me that I realized that I was a sinner in need of God's forgiveness. As you can imagine I am really cutting down my testimony so that I can fit it on the page. Although I fully dedicated my life to Christ... I still struggle with lies that have been ingrained into my thought process through negative and untrue things people have told me and as a result things that have happened in my life. I can truly say though that God is continuing to work in my life and is making beauty out of ashes. He has put on my heart a burden for young girls and I feel He is calling me to work with them. I forget what my point was going to be... but I think that this would be a awesome tool to use with young ladies between the ages of 18-19 because they struggle with the same lies as a girl who is 15 -- if they have never fought that lie with the truth. Hopefully some of this makes sense :)

    Powerful Study Material
on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 7:24 am
I recently did a study through the book Lies Women Believe and it was an amazing time of growing and healing for those of us involved. As a Youth leader I am very burdened for our young ladies and will begin a study through Lies Young Women Believe next month. The material in this book is so straight forward that I know it will change the lives of those who read it. I will be praying for those of you who are stepping out in faith to teach the next generation God's truth. Please pray for me as I begin this journey with my girls. My prayer is that they will come to an understanding of who they are in Christ so that they don't have to search the worlds standards. I can't wait to read all of your great posts. God bless each one of you with His grace and wisdom..

This book would be great for that age group! Most of the issues will be highly applicable to them. The lies we address about the future will likely be especially pertinent.

Thank you for your willingness to be a truth speaker to this generation! Be sure to check back and let us know how it goes.

I was part of a Bible study a year ago for Lies Women Believe and wanted so badly to share the information with young girls. I was thankful when this book came out. I am now leading this study for our youth at church. I do pray they have an open mind. I have an outline ready and have found additional verses. I am praying that they ghave an open mind, respect and ready to hear and listen what God has for them.
