You and Your Siblings Really Can Get Along!

Hey, friends!

It’s Liza and Beecher here, writing to you from the bright and sunny Texas Hill Country.

Today we want to provide a snapshot into what it’s like working together as siblings. Liza and I are in a band called Willow City with our two brothers—Ezra and Asa. We’re releasing our debut album soon! We’ve worked together in music for the past few years, and people always ask us how we get along so well—and how we don’t kill each other in the process of traveling, working, and living together! Trust us, sometimes it can get tough.

The most important thing is that we all have one goal in mind: to glorify God in all we do (1 Cor. 10:31). And sometimes we do get irritated with each other. (Fifteen-hour drives to the next show can get a little tight in our suburban!)

But when we remind ourselves how much Jesus demonstrated love to those around Him (John 13:1–17), it helps us focus on putting each other first, whether we’re arranging a song or going for the last granola bar.

We hope you’ll learn a little something from this vlog, laugh a lot (there’s definitely some goofing off that goes on), and that you’ll like the new album! Most importantly, seek to love others, whether it’s your friend or sibling or mom and dad, like Jesus loves us. (See 1 Corinthians 13 for a refresher of what that looks like!)

We’d love to know:

  • Whom do you struggle to get along with?
  • What one thing can you do to show Christ’s love to them?

Oh brother my brother😉 I don’t like it at all, but I have seen a change thourgh out the years…God is deffently working on our relationship. And to him (my brother) the best thing ever is food! Sadly that’s probable what we fight about the most… (for years it was girls cook and clean on the inside and boys work on the outside) but I guess that completely changed (the food part) to him…. My thoughts let’s just all live on Chinese for the rest of are lives and forget about all those other things😉

Lol just read my post over again and noticed when I put “I don’t like it all” it kind of sounded like I was saying I didn’t like the fact God was working on us! That’s not what I meant though! I meant I didn’t like fighting with him!
